We used 3D modeling and optimization algorithms to minimize excavation
Consultants from KPMG contacted us with the task of optimizing the leveling of a 3-hectare plot for the client. The main goal was to minimize the volume of import and export of land, which directly affected the costs and timing of the construction project.
We started by building an accurate 3D model of the site using cadastral data and measurements of heights above sea level. The missing data were interpolated to obtain a complete picture of the relief. Based on this model, a specialized calculator has been developed that can calculate the surpluses and deficiencies of cubic meters of land at various levels of alignment.
As a result, the company was able to significantly reduce excavation costs. Optimization reduced the need for additional import or removal of soil, which also reduced the environmental impact of the project. Implementation times were reduced, and the team's efficiency increased due to accurate data and decision-making tools.
